In case you wander why I had to patch a hole in tail - this is what happens when you decide to change shower for a bathtub (I will never buy a shower again).
Firs step was to clean surface around the hole and cut plastic part flush with the wall.
Then I used masking tape around the hole.
After that I got some silicon on it, and dipped a finger in liquid soap to smooth it out.
Removed masking tape, and was left with something that looked like that.
Once again I dipped my finger in liquid soap and smoothed it out.
This is what it looked like before cleaning the surface (I had to leave it for about 12 hours for silicone to cure).
Some people might say that:
- I should buy epoxy filler and paint matching color of a tile
- I should change whole tile
As for epoxy filler and paint it is quite expensive and I would rather change whole tile.
As for changing tile it is plasterboard wall and I did not want to risk that I will break it while removing the tile.
It looks much better now, does not let water to get inside and it did not cos me a cent (I already had masking tape and silicone).
Of course this might now work if you will not be able to find silicone matching color of a tile.
